Here's where and what to focus on. by Julie Mason Whether you have already started to count down the days or you haven't started thinking about how to wrap up the school year, here are my tips and strategies for where to focus your time and energy so you leave on the last day before summer feeling great about your finish.   Did you make a plan or goal in the beginning of the year, and now you are realizing you haven't prioritized it?   This happened to me every year I taught.   One year, I wanted to focus on making students' progress visible.   In an attempt to make my students’ progress visible to them, I gave each student a folder, and after I returned assignments and projects, I asked them to keep it in the folder. My goal was to make my students’ progress visible to them, so they had evidence of their growth. I have always believed that we need to help our students see that learning is a process that takes time. Whether or not they learned something isn’t always determined by a test grade. Fast forward to the last two months of school, and I was in a rush to get through my curriculum. I was waking up in the middle of the night worried that we weren’t going to fit in one last essay or finish our last whole class novel. When was I going to find the time for students to look through their folders? How could I make this process meaningful and worth class time? Quality Over Quantity When you have limited teaching time left, you might feel pressure to pack it all in, and increase your pace. Instead of assigning one chapter, you assign two. Instead of spending fifteen minutes practicing grammar skills before the quiz, you cut it down to ten. While this is tempting, try to take a step back and consider the big picture, and prioritize. Use These Guiding Questions What do my students need to learn and practice in order to be ready for next year? What parts of the curriculum are essential? What parts of the curriculum are non-essential?   One of the ways that I addressed having too much to teach and not enough time, was to assign related thematic passages from our last novel, instead of the entire text. I decided that what my students needed to learn and practice was close reading and marking up the text. They didn’t need to read an entire novel in order to do this practice. Focus On What’s Important Too often the end of the school year becomes a race to the finish, and there is little to no time to celebrate the class community and the students’ progress. What will impact your students most? A few more hours of grammar instruction? A reflective writing assignment where they consider what they learned and what goals they have for next year? Try to strike a balance between teaching topics and skills, and providing opportunities for celebration and reflection. Make Student Progress Visible Let’s go back to the folders. I believe that if we create a system and ask students to do something that we have to show them that that process had a purpose. If I didn’t circle back to the work in the folders why was I asking my students to keep their returned work? One of my favorite ways to make student progress visible is to take an assignment that I gave students earlier in the year and give them the same assignment towards the end of the year. For example, one of the first writing assignments I gave students was to write a descriptive paragraph about a photograph. I had an entire box full of images that they could choose from. Students do the same assignment later in the year and the improvement in their writing was always powerful. They included figurative language, and sensory details, and their grammar and syntax was stronger. After students have completed the assignment for a second time, you have students put both assignments side by side. They can then see the progress that they’ve made. I like to give students a checklist of writing skills and topics and ask them to think about their progress in each of those areas. By the end of this exercise, students feel proud of themselves, especially students who thought they weren’t doing well or getting a good grade in my class. They had tangible proof of their own growth and the activity is both an opportunity for reflection and celebration. Make Your Own Progress Visible We never have enough time in our teaching days, and self-reflection always falls to the bottom of our to-do list. However, self-reflection is incredibly important at the end of the school year. Consider all of your routines and procedures and identify what you want to use next year, and what you want to stop using or change. Try to jot down as much as you can about the specific changes you plan to make so your notes will be helpful as you prepare to return to the classroom. Give Yourself Glows and Grows Practice what you preach. We encourage our students to identify what they have learned and how they have grown, while also recognizing their challenges and the areas they can work on. Think about this teaching year. What are you most proud of? Was there a new assignment that went really well? Did you figure out a system for grading that saved you time? Do you have a classroom routine for equitable participation that ensured you called on more students? Give credit where credit is due.   Consider also what didn’t go as well as you hoped. What are the areas of your teaching practice that you’d like to grow in? What might you do over the summer to learn more about these areas?   The last month of school is challenging. You might be feeling tired, and losing your passion and stamina for teaching. Answer: The community health nurse or particularly in this case study, the community psychiatric nurse (CPN) experiences large number of ethical conflicts and dilemmas in health care delivery system. The CPN has to provide health care services such as consultation or treatment therapies alone and that too at the home of the patient therefore she needs to have enough knowledge of legal issues and implications. The case study discusses three main issues, both ethical and legal, surrounding the family of three, Jim, Edna and Bernie. 1. Autonomy, for a community psychiatric nurse, is an agreement to give regards to anothers person right to determine on his own, a course of action that supports independent decision making (Ivanov and Oden, 2013). It is important for the nurses to respect the patients autonomy where he must be allowed freely to choose between choices of treatment. If a patient is not capable enough to take any treatment related decision for himself and has an advanced directive then another person having durable power of attorney can make decision on his behalf (Ivanov and Oden, 2013). There are two instances in this case study where notion of autonomy is a problem for the family members as well as for the person himself. The first case being the religious inclination of Bernie where he is thinking he is chosen to take holy orders. Also, in order to save self from being bullied and frightened and in debt, he decided to stay at home. In a way, he decided to lock himself. Bernie thinks something else of his psychotic episodes and hallucinations and decides to pursue religious interventions as the priest regularly visit Bernie and this is interfering with the assessment process. Bernie has the freedom to experience religious feelings for his own mental peace and the priest has made him realized that he is not having any psychotic episodes. Also, Bernies past experience is not letting him go for medical interventions as he is afraid of being taken to a mental care institution. Bernies condition is becoming bothersome for his parents, specially his mother who thinks he is becoming like his own father, violent and depressed (Morrison-Valfre, 2012). Another issue is of Jim who is uncommunicative and unforthcoming. He is not ready to take any help too. Here the main issue for the CPN is not only making Jim and Bernie communicative of their problems with their family and care takers but also promoting their capacity to be autonomous. It is important for the CPN to realize the need of medical treatment for treating their mental conditions which are getting more harmful in for self and others. CPN must not make them fill any kind of treatment form to limit their treatment options, particularly in case of chronic depression as Jim has this mental illness (Bockenhauer, Cummings and Hamlin, 2014). 2. CPN chooses the practice of doing benefit for others and this ethical conduct is known as beneficence. CPN has to take such beneficent actions to prevent any harm to this family because of any of the family member or simply by removing damaging situations (Ketefian, 2015). Nonmaleficence on the other hand is the avoidance of hurt or harm which CPN must take into consideration (Ketefian, 2015). This is the ethical dilemma for the CPN what to choose between beneficence and nonmaleficence. The first step towards reducing harm and increasing the benefits is convincing the family members, Jim, Edna and Bernie to take up proper treatment for dealing with depression and anxiety. In case of Bernie and family, the CPN must show loyalty, dedication, fairness, advocacy and truthfulness in bringing out certain issues of each family member in front of them so that everyone understands what the other is going through. The community nurse must not force any treatment on the patients. CPN must us e well tested experimental treatments, especially on Bernie to improve his life. The nurse must show empathy towards the condition of Bernie, Edna and Jim and talk to them to make them vent out their emotions. CPN must put in front of each family member where everyone is suffering from one or the other form of depression and anxiety, keeping into consideration his or her attitude, beliefs and assumptions that is going to shape the course of action (Marrs, 2014). Nurse must encourage Bernie to go out and meet his friends and relatives, watch a movie or do out for dinner with family members so that each of them understand the need of and value their presence. CPN must support Edna to keep her opinion in front of others about what she feels and is afraid of. In other words, CPN in case of depression does not have to treat patients in particular but has to create an environment where the principle of nonmaleficence can be applied. This in turn will not reduce the benefits for others (be neficence) as the whole family will get a supportive environment to live. In extreme case, in order to remove any harm, CPN under the guidance of approved doctors must give orders to section Bernie under Mental Health Act. 3. Bernie shows the signs and symptoms of anxiety as well as bipolar disorder where he is involved in compulsive activities such as locking himself in his room and delusions where he thinks he hears voices and sounds of his grandmother. This means he follows beliefs and experiences that are not at the level of the established facts and realities (Masters, 2014). It is possible that Bernie is sectioned under Mental Health Act if his conducts are hurting himself or the others (Buka, 2014). Being sectioned under MHA implies that Bernie is detained in a psychiatric institution against his own will and is given medication without his consent (Marrs, 2014). Justice is met in case Bernie is given proper treatment with all the legitimate resources of therapies and treatment available for him. Complete fairness should be maintained in order to treat Bernie well so that he becomes mentally healthy and harmless for himself and his family. Julius Robert Oppenheimer Julius Robert Oppenheimer was an American physicist and government adviser, who directed the development of the first atomic bombs. To scientists, he was not only the builder of the atomic bomb and a pioneer in atomic energy, but a master of many languages, a good conversationalist and a brilliant mathematician. He was also a writer, and an expert in both the history of architecture and the religions of the world. Oppenheimer, who was born in New York City on April 22, 1904, and educated at Harvard University and the Universities of Cambridge and Gottingen, grew up in a middle class neighborhood. He was raised by his mother, who was an artist who provided a nice apartment with a subdued, tasteful atmosphere. His grandfather came from Germany where he was a peasant farmer and grain merchant. The Oppenheimer's family business was importing fabric for the clothing industry. As a child in grade school, Oppenheimer excelled in all subjects. This continued straight through all of his schooling. During his years at Harvard University, Oppenheimer excelled in Latin, Greek, physics and chemistry. He also published poetry and studied Oriental philosophy. After graduating in 1925, he sailed to England to do research in the Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge University , which, under the leadership of Lord Rutherford, had an international reputation for its pioneering studies on atomic structure. Oppenheimer was fortunate to enter physics in 1925 because that is when modern quantum mechanics came into being. He was one of the first scientists to use quantum mechanics for the exploration of problems which had been insoluble with the old quantum theory. While at Cambridge, Oppenheimer had the opportunity to work with the British scientific community in its efforts to advance the cause of atomic research. Shortly thereafter, Max Born invited him to Gottingen University, where he met other prominent physicists, such as Niels Bohr and Paul Dirac, and where, in 1927, he received his doctorate. He then returned to the United States. After serving with the International Education Board from 1928 to 1929, Oppenheimer became a professor of physics at the University of California at Berkeley and the California Institute of Technology where he worked from1929 to 1947. There he built up large schools of theoretical physics. He was noted for his contributions relating to the quantum theory, the theory of relativity, cosmic rays, positrons, and neutron stars. He was also able to show that a baffling movement of a deuteron (heavy hydrogen nucleus), being loosely bound, surrenders its neutron on entering the field of a heavy nucleus. The effect was that the heavy nucleus captures the stripped neutron, becomes unstable and then radioactive. This discovery helped to later develop the hydrogen bomb, which is thousands of times more powerful than the atomic bomb. In his early years of teaching, Oppenheimer had little success and many students complained to the head of the physics department about how quiet he was and how he overestimated his audience. The department head, Raymond T. Birge, knew that Oppenheimer already knew that he was not getting through to the students and therefore did not need to be told. Soon enough he began to interact with his audience by dropping his pace of delivery and going to great lengths to make connections between ideas clearer. By doing this he attracted a small group of some of the brightest students. These students thought of him as a brilliant lecturer and some remarked that he was one of their most inspiring professors. In 1940 Oppenheimer married a woman named Katherine Harrison. They had one son whom they named Peter and a daughter whom they named Katherine. They lived in a beautiful house on Eagle Hill in the San Francisco Bay area. During a leave of absence that lasted from 1943 until 1945, Oppenheimer served as director of the atomic bomb project at Los Alamos, New Mexico. After warnings from Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard, both respected scientists, that the world would be in grave danger if the Nazis were the first to create an atomic bomb, Oppenheimer began to seek a process for the separation of uranium-235 from natural uranium. He also strove to discover a way to determine the critical mass of uranium required to make such a bomb. On July 16, 1945, the joint effort of outstanding scientists at Los Alamos created the first nuclear explosion. This took place at Alamogordo, New Mexico. That October, Oppenheimer resigned from the project. His leadership and organizational skills during the project earned him the Presidential Medal of Merit in 1946. In

Downer drugs are not all that bad. Some of these drugs are used for medical reasons, actually prescribed by doctors. Some of the sicknesses that downers are used to treat include insomnia, to help manage anxiety, to reduce convulsiveness, and for neuromuscular disorders. They are most often prescribed today as tranquilizers and sleeping pills. Some examples of tranquilizers are Valium, Librium, and Xanax. Some examples of sleeping pills include Dalmane, Halcion, and Resoril. It is said that over the last decade an estimated six hundred million prescriptions were processed for minor tranquilizers in the United States pharmacies alone. Downers, which were once thought to be the perfect sedative for the terminally nervous, insomniacs, epileptics, mental patients and also used for anesthesia before surgery is now found to be very addictive. Downers as a whole have many risks and side effects to their users. Being downers are a depressant, they reduce cognitive and motor skills and decrease judgment and increase reaction time (meaning the time it takes to react increases.) Subtle effects can continue for hours or days after the use of downers because of the length of time it takes to break down some depressants in the body. Because of a very high abuse to downers, manufactures now warn users against using sleeping pills for more than a week ...

the use of assembler directives in microprocessor Abstract This term paper includes the use of assembler directives in microprocessor and the various assembler directives used in Intel microprocessor 8086, its format with various examples. I) Definition An assembler directive is a message to the assembler that tells the assembler something it needs to know in order to carry out the assembly process; for example, an assemble directive tell the assembler where a program is to be located in memory. There are some instructions in the assembly language program which are not a part of processor instruction set. These instructions are instructions to the assembler, linker and loader. These are referred to as pseudo-operations or as assembler directives. II) Use Of Assembler Directives The assembler directives control organization of the program and provide necessary information to the assembler to understand assembly language programs to generate machine codes. They indicate how an operand or a section of program is to be processed by the assembler. An assembler supports directives to define data, to organize segments to control procedures, to define macros etc. An assembly language program consists of two types of statements: instructions and directives. The instructions are translated to machine codes by the assembler whereas the directives are not translated to machine codes. III) Assembler Directives For Intel8086 Microprocessor 1) ASSUME The ASSUME directives is used to inform the assembler the names of the logical segments, which are to be assigned to the different segments used in an assembly language program. In an assembly language program, each segment is given a name by the programmer. For example, the code segment may be given the name CODE or CODE_SEG or MY_CODE, etc. The data segment may be given the name DATA, MY_DATA, DATA_SEG, etc. Examples: i) ASSUME CS : CODE The above directive tells the assembler that the name of the code segment is CODE. This name is a user defined segment name. The segment named CODE contains the machine codes of the instructions. The code segment register (CS register) is to be loaded with the starting address of the code segment, given by the operating system for the label CODE in the assembly language program. ii) ASSUME DS: DATA The above directive informs the assembler that the name of the data segment is DATA. This is a user defined segment name. It contains data of the program which is being executed. The DS register (data segment register) is to be loaded with the starting address of the data segment, given by the operating system for the label DATA in the program. iii) ASSUME SS: STACK The above directive tells the assembler that the name of the stack segment used by the programmer is STACK. This is a user defined segment name. It stores addresses and data of the subroutines, saves the contents a specified register or memory locations after PUSH instruction, etc. The stack segment register SS holds the starting address of the stack segment allotted by the operating system. iv) ASSUME ES: EXTRA The above directive tells the assembler that the name of the extra segment is EXTRA which is a user defined segment name. In Intel 8086 microprocessor, string instructions may use DI register to point the destination memory address for the data. The EXTRA segment is used to hold the addresses pointed by DI. 2) DB (Define Byte) The directive DB a byte type variable. In a given directive statement, there may be single initial value or multiple initial values of the defined variable. If there is one initial value, one byte of memory space is reserved for each value. The general format is: Name of Variable DB Initial value or Values. Examples: i) VELOCITY DB 0 This directive informs assembler to reserve one byte of memory space for the variable named VELOCITY and initialize it with value zero. ii) WEIGHT DB 85 This directive informs assembler to reserve one byte of memory space for the variable named WEIGHT and initialize with value 85. iii) FORCE DB ? This directive directs assembler to reserve one byte of memory space for the variable FORCE. Furthermore, the question mark ? In the data definition informs assembler that the value of the variable is not known and hence, it is not to be initialized. iv) ARRAY DB 32, 42, 59, 67, 83 This directive informs assembler to reserve five bytes of consecutive memory space for the variable named ARRAY. The memory locations are to be initialized with the values 32, 42, 59, 67 and 83. v) MESSAGE DB ‘THANK YOU This directive informs the assembler to reserve the number of bytes of memory space equal to the number of characters in the string named MESSAGE, and initialize the memory locations with ASCII codes of the these characters. 3) DW (Define Word) The directive DW defines a word -type variable. The defined variable may have one or more initial values in the directive statement. If there is one value, two-bytes of memory space are reserved. If there are multiple values, two bytes of memory space are reserved for each value. The general formula is: Name of variable DW Initial Value or Values. Examples: i) SUM DW 3596. This directive informs the assembler to reserve two bytes (one word) of consecutive memory locations for the variable named SUM and initialize it with the value 3596. ii) NUMBER DW ‘25 The above directive statement informs assembler to reserve two bytes of consecutive memory locations for the variable named NUMBER. The first byte of the memory is to be initialized with the ASCII code of two (32) and the second byte is to be initialized with the ASCII code of five (35). Hence, the two bytes of memory space contain 3235H. iii) DATA DW 5384, 6932, 5 DUP (3456), 7384 This directive informs assembler to reserve 16 bytes of consecutive memory locations. The number 3456 is repeated five times. Memory locations are initialized with 5384,6932, 3456, 3456, 3456,3456, 3456 and 7384. 4) DD (Define Double Word) This directive DD defines a double word-type variable. The defined variable may have one or more values in the statement. If there is only one value, four bytes of consecutive memory locations are reserved. If there are multiple values, four bytes of memory locations are reserved for each value. The general format is: Name of Variable DD Initial value or values Example: NUMBER DD 23958634 The above directive informs assembler to reserve four bytes of memory locations for the variable named NUMBER and initialize with the number 23958634. 5) DQ (Define Quadword) The directive DQ defines a quadword- type variable. The defined variable may have one or more values in the statement. If there is only one value, 8 bytes of consecutive memory locations are reserved. If there are multiple values, 8 bytes of memory space are reserved for each value. The general format is: Name of Variable DQ Initial value or values Example: NUMBER DQ 1568934893846735 The above directive informs assembler to reserve 8 bytes of consecutive memory locations for the variable named NUMBER and initialize with the above mentioned number. 6) DT (Define Tenbytes) The directive DT defines a variable of ten bytes. In the directive statement there may be one or more values. If there is only one value, 10 bytes of consecutive memory locations are reserved. If there are multiple values, ten consecutive memory locations are reserved for each value. The general format is: Name of Variable DT Initial value or values Example: NUMBER DT 34968435876934839251 The above directive informs assembler to reserve 10 bytes of consecutive memory locations for the variable named NUMBER and initialize with the above specified values. 7) END (End of Program) The directive END informs assembler the end of a program module. This is used after the last statement of the program module. This assembler ignores statement(s) after an END directive. Therefore, the programmer should use END directive at the very end of his program module. A carriage return is used after the END directive. Its general format is: END label 8) ENDP (End Procedure) The directive ENDP informs assembler the end of a procedure. In assembly language programming, subroutines are called procedures. A procedure may be an independent program module to give certain result or the required value to the calling program. A procedure is given a name i.e. a label. The label is used as prefix with directive ENDP. This directive is used together with PROC directive to enclose the procedure. To specify the type of the procedure the term FAR or NEAR is used after the PROC directive. The type FAR indicates that the procedure to be called is in some other segment of memory. Type NEAR indicates that the procedure is in the same segment of memory. If type is not specified, the assembler assumes it NEAR. The general format for ENDP directive is: Procedure Name ENDP Example: SPEED_CONTROL PROC FAR ; Start of Procedure : ; Procedure instructions SPEED_CONTROL ENDP ; End of Procedure 9) ENDM (End Macro) The directive ENDM is used to inform assembler that this is the end of a macro. The directive ENDM is used with the directive MACRO to enclose macro instructions. Example: COMPLIMENT MACRO ; Start of macro : ; Macro instructions ENDM ; End of Macro COMPLIMENT is the name of a macro. The name is given before the directive MCRO which tells the assembler the beginning of a macro. 10) ENDS ( End of Segment) The ENDS directive informs assembler that this is the end of the segment. The name of the segment is given using ASSUME directive which has already been explained. The name of the segment is used as the prefix of the ENDS directive. Its general format is: Segment Name ENDS Example: CODE_SEG SEGMENT ; Start of code segment ; instructions CODE_SEG ENDS ; End of segment 11) EQU (Equate) The directive EQU is used to give a name to certain value or symbol. If any value or symbol is used many times in an assembly language program, a name is given to the value or symbol to make programming easier and simpler. Each time the assembler finds the given name in the program, it replaces the name with the value or symbol which has already been equated with that name. The general format for the EQU directive is: Value Name EQU Value or or Symbol Name Symbol Example: ROOM_TEMP EQU 02H The above directive tells assembler to replace ROOM_TEMP by 02H. If EQU directive is written in the beginning of the program and later on MOV AL, ROOM_TEMP is written in the program, the assembler will treat this instruction as if it were MOV AL, 02H while giving its machine codes. 12) EXTRN (External) This directive informs the assembler that the names, procedures and labels following this directive have already been defined in some other program modules. The names, procedures and labels declared as external in one program module must be declared public using PUBLIC directive in the program module in which they have been defined. When the programmer informs assembler that the declared item is an external one, the assembler puts this information in the object code file so that the linker can connect the concerned two program modules together. The general format for EXTRN directive is: i) EXTRN Variable Name : Type of variable ii) EXTRN Procedure Name : (NEAR/FAR) For external named variable, procedure or constant; its type is to be specified. Examples : i) EXTRN MULTIPLIER : WORD In this directive the variable named MULTIPLIER is an external variable and it is word type variable. ii) EXTRN CORRECTION_FACTOR: ABS In this directive CORRECTION_FACTOR is an external constant. It has been defined with EQU directive in another program module. Constants are identified by type: ABS. 13) LABEL (Label) In an assembly language program labels are used to give names to memory addresses. When assembler begins assembly process, it initializes a location counter to keep the track of memory locations i.e. memory addresses. The content of the location counter holds the address of the memory location assigned to an instruction during assembly process. The LABEL directive is used to give a name to the current value in the location counter i.e. the current memory address which is in the location counter. The type of label is to be specified. The type of the procedure FAR or NEAR is to be specified after the directive. The type NEAR is used to call a procedure which is within the program module. The type FAR is used to call a procedure from some other program module. The PROC directive is used with ENDP directive to enclose a procedure. The general format of the PROC directive is: Name of procedure PROC type of procedure Example : i) TEMP_MEAST PROC FAR The above procedure is for temperature measurement and it lies in some other program module. Illusion Vs. Reality in The Great Gatsby   Ã‚  Ã‚   "A confusion of the real with the ideal never goes unpunished," is how Goethe states not to mistake fantasy for reality. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, many of the characters live in an illusory world, though few can see reality.   Ã‚  Ã‚   Fitzgerald presents Jay Gatsby as one character who cannot see reality. "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can!"(Pg. 116) He focuses so strongly on trying to get what he had in the past that he cannot face the reality that he cannot have Daisy. When Gatsby meets Daisy, he tells her that he is from a wealthy family to try to convince her that he is worthy of her. He also thinks that he can buy Daisy with his money. In addition, Jay Gatsby's real name is James Gatz. He changes his name because he wants to be a different person. Gatsby stakes everything on his dreams, but he does not realize that his dreams are unworthy of him. He loves Daisy so much that he cannot see how money corrupts her.   Ã‚  Ã‚   Daisy Buchanan is another character who lives in an illusory world. Daisy marries Tom only because he has money. Daisy is in love with material objects. She uses her money to get away from reality, and when she feels threatened, she hides behind her money. Furthermore, she says, "And I hope she'll be a fool-That's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool."(Pg. 21) regarding her daughter Pammy. This statement shows part of her corruption because she is saying that it is better to be careless and beautiful instead of worrying about real things. Daisy wears white, which represents purity, but she is corrupted by money, which is gold and yellow. The colors white, yellow and gold are like the flower that Daisy is named after.   Ã‚     Another character, Nick Carraway, is one of the few people in The Great Gatsby that lives in reality. "They're a rotten crowd. You're worth the whole damn bunch put together," (Pg.162) is an example of how Nick realizes the corruption that money brings. While Gatsby allows money to possess him, Nick can see the destructive force of it.

Should Girls and Boys Be Given Exactly the Same Type of Education?

Should girls and boys be given exactly the same type of education? In Singapore, girls and boys are entitling the same type of education. Gender equality is ensure by our government. This was done so to make sure there wasn't any discrimination among each gender, and there was equal opportunities given to the citizens, to voice out their discontented. However, this was not implemented throughout the world. To begin with, girls should be entitled the equal right as boys to receive education. It is not a major problem in developed countries, but in less developed country like Saudi Arab, they do not pay much attention to girl’s education.In their views, girls are born to tend the house, and do the laborious chores. Therefore, religious views are the root towards the type of education given to both genders. In addition, whether to apply the same education for both genders also have a further impact on the development of the country. The development of country would determine whet her the same type of education should be given to both genders. For example, in Singapore, being a fast-tempo country and with small population, we need both genders to help to boost the economy.Whereas, slow-tempo country like Vietnam but with large population, there are limited job opportunities. Males are needed to work in the rice field, while the females stay home to do house chores. Therefore, girls and boys should be given the same education depends on the country’s quality of life. Lastly, school fees are not a small sum. Not all family are able to afford to send their children to school. And in the traditional views, females are married off to the males; they do not need much education.Whereas the males have to raise the family, thus education opportunities are given to them. Therefore, expenses are one of the factors that contribute to the entitlement of same type of education. However, when both genders are given exactly the same type of education, they are given t he same opportunities in the social world. Research also has proven that girls are more competence than the boys. Girls also tend to be perfectionist in their field of work and so, whatever work is given to them, and they will end up doing their best to complete it.With more girls in the working society, this will eventually help to boost the competency between companies and also the company profits as well. To sum up, girls and boys educations are given according to the circumstances such as area of development, religion beliefs and expenses. Gender discrimination will not be demolished within a short period of time. Therefore, policy against gender discrimination should be implemented to protect the rights of the ladies even though they do not have education.

Morality and Religion in Defoes Robinson Crusoe and Moll...

Daniel Defoe was born in 1660.Daniel received a very good education as his father hoped he would become a minister , but Daniel was not interested.His family were Dissenters, Presbyterians to be precise, and those sects were being persecuted a bit at this time so maybe Daniel had the right idea.He was always very tolerant of others religious ideas himself he was a good puritan at the same time.Hed pretty much against the ministry,though he wrote and spoke in favor of the Dissenters all his life.However being a religious man he sometimes critisized Christianty .Somehow he reflected his beliefs in his books,writings.
